Spanking has shaped me to be a better person. However, sometimes I show signs of losing my temper and reacting in a rash manner. I can lose my patience in a matter of minutes. Spanking leaves negative marks, not only in the child’s arm, but also in the child’s conscience that would contribute to future actions. Although spanking can help children learn what is right or wrong, it can lead to long term conflicts on both physical and emotional levels of a growing child.

Jodi Picoult is an excellent writer. She knows how to capture the reader and uses great writing skills to keep the reader. She uses great resources to help her creat a story that enhances her plot. Most of Jodi’s books have a court-based theme, where the main characters have something going on in their lives that involves them going to a court, or trial. She is very discriptive when it comes to a storyline with everyday life expierences. For example, when the schene of the trial for Peter’s case, she uses great dialogue and describes how the people are reacting to their surroundings. Reading this novel, I found myself going through with each character how they each felt. I thought a lot about events that Picoult writes about that are really life expierences that a lot of people go through. What were each student, at Columbine, thinking about before the shooting? What would I do if something like a school shooting happened in my school?

Times magazine is a very interesting paper. I like this magazine because it not only uses its own information but it partners with the national television network, CNN. By combining the two, the website plus the paper has a great deal of information to the public. The main out look of the paper/websit is politics. Many people want to hear more about policts because who wants a news paper that does not talk about the on going tribulations of the one who is running our country. Of course, the paper/website also covers worldly news, for example the war in iraq and the upcoming 2008 elections. I like that each day the website is updated daily and people can get their fill on what is going on in the world that certain day. Along with other newsletter websites, the Times website contains a search engine that allows viewers to search their topic of their choice. The variaty that the website contains attracts most viewers. I like to go to a website and find my way easily for i am no good at all with computers let alone a website that is not very well produced. The Times website comes straight to the point. It helps lead to one topic of your choice, for example, just by going to the website, the home page contains main topics. If you need an update of the elections, you can click on a tag that is entitled “Election ‘08″ and you are on your way to gaining knowledge on the elections. Many websites contain false information, i would rely on only the ones which speak the truth. The Times magazine speaks the truth.

The website helps viewers to locate the subject that they want to view by just setting the subject out on the home page and having many links to guide the viewer or the website contains a search engine that helps the viewer get faster location to that subject. The New York Times not only cover world news but also local and/or state news. The New York Times seems more of a political newspaper than the L.A. Times because Hollywood is in L.A. and that is where movies are made, but that would be my view. All in all, for more political, governmental, economic, society, and science facts, opinions, and information, the New York Times is a good website to look out for.

Times is very well formatted. I can very easily navigate to a section of the latest news about many topics, such as, music, movies, T.V., and many more! I think that the entertainment section of the Times website is also very full of everyday topics of the on going world of Hollywood. For example, the Times website talks about the latest new movies and their own views about the topic that allow viewers to have a good idea of how the topic really is. Music and movies are my favorite topic and by going to the L.A. Times website, I can get my facts and info on the upcoming news about movies and music. The L.A. Times website also has a great selection of photos so that you can view your favorite star at either great parties or other awesome events. For most young teens, the entertainment section of any newspapers website would greatly be viewed because today our society is extremely influenced by the entertainment department. Many whom enjoy music, movies or many other topics will enjoy the L.A. Times entertainment section.

Our understandings of the way we communicate with other opinionates have greatly changed. They are being used throughout the world to have arguments, conversations and comments about a certain subject. After many evaluations of three unique blogs, I have concluded the importance and the magnetism of blogs.

One great blog that has attracted the minds of bloggers is The American Patriot. This young man has created a commotion with the nature of blogging. His topics political issues and standards are very interesting in his points of view. I understand how he feels about the Agency. I think his main points on this topic have hit hard and with great knowledge of the understanding of our government have given him the greatest debate about our U.S. government. Although I would not entirely agree with his view on his report on the Union, I think it was well written. Many of the American Patriot’s topics are very well written and very, very fascinating that the hook lines look like they came out of an important text book. I would also agree with his topic about political philosophy. I think he extends a hand at others whom have lived with the Amish and do not realize the importance of understanding the government and how it is being run, (and by whom). On the good side, realizing that something is going on with our government has given many, inspiration to talk about this particular topic. As to many of the comments left by fellow students, they have realized the truth behind the spoken words of the American Patriot. True there is really not much to argue with, but if the truth be told, there will be some people who would argue, even when the truth is being slapped right to their face.

Another great blogger, the Deep Blue, has given equal and true standards of national worries. All over our country, students have struggled on getting a very high ACT and SAT score. With plenty of research done Deep Blue, the statistics show a number of great truths about how well the different genders do. Which score matters most? Well as Deep Blue put it, the score and the test depends on the student wanting to go to college. Depending on the standards of the college of the student’s choice, their score should just be the highest they can get it and study immensely. I would agree that we the student population should study hard and get the best score that can be possibly made. I have not taken the ACT, but I have taken a practice one and I know I really need to study because of my English. So with the student population worrying about their test, some states are worrying about their government being overruled. Deep Blue explains in one of his great combats about how the people of each state are suffering from their jobs. Our economy has gone down hill ever since 2001 and/or 2003. Most Americans are struggling to fend for their families and still have time to vacate. Many would agree that with our gasoline count going down our economy is going to suffer a great inflation. Many of Deep Blues’ argument s has given me a second thought of how our government is being run. His blog has also inspired me to create a blog that has the same, close to the same, idealistic reports of events happing to our country and all over the world.
The last blog that I have evaluated has made me realized that the Greater Omaha has a great talent when it comes to making a blog and having good reports. His second entry really put my mind and my eyes into thought of why our roads are getting pothole. I also realized that I need to be very careful when I am out and about on the road for I do not want to get into a car accident. I did not know that potholes are ruling our roads, but that is no excuse for the main street (Harrison str.) being all destroyed and rebuilt. The roads need to be carefully built for the safety of drivers. His next entry was extremely divine. I thought that I had the worst family, but I come to realize that when families have a divorce, the whole family is divided. I hope that if any of my family members gets a divorce I would be torn between many emotions. Many young children having to go through a divorce that is painful enough as it is, is very tough. I would hate to see a four year child struggling through the emotions of his family members break up. I deal with children on Sunday mornings, and having to hear their stories of event s happening in their lives is really hard. I almost want to cry for them so they do not have to go through so much pain and defeat. Making a joke about divorce is just a painful way of saying bad things to the people getting their divorce. The Greater Omaha has really set his blog to have entries of matters that seem very non-important, but in reality very relevant to what our world goes through each and every day.
After a very long research of reading many blogs, finding three that have really made my mind think has been a great experience. I really enjoy having to experience some of the best bloggers in my school and being able to look as these blogs and having some ways to set up my blog and what to put on my blog. I think I am begging to understand the importance of blogging. I am ready to start a world of new experiences.
