Nineteen Minutes
Jodi Picoult is an excellent writer. She knows how to capture the reader and uses great writing skills to keep the reader. She uses great resources to help her creat a story that enhances her plot. Most of Jodi’s books have a court-based theme, where the main characters have something going on in their lives that involves them going to a court, or trial. She is very discriptive when it comes to a storyline with everyday life expierences. For example, when the schene of the trial for Peter’s case, she uses great dialogue and describes how the people are reacting to their surroundings. Reading this novel, I found myself going through with each character how they each felt. I thought a lot about events that Picoult writes about that are really life expierences that a lot of people go through. What were each student, at Columbine, thinking about before the shooting? What would I do if something like a school shooting happened in my school?
